Here BPEX has pulled together a wealth of background information on ASF including symptoms and what steps would be taken if it were confirmed here.
The most important point for the whole industry is to review biosecurity which is the first line of defence against devastating diseases. An outbreak of a notifiable disease would have serious consequences for the export industry which is now worth more than £300 million a year.
