The British pig industry is full of people who have made a major and sustained contribution but also who tend to hide their lights under a bushel.
This year is the 48th annual David Black award and the
organisers want to turn the spotlight on one of those unsung pig industry
heroes.
It doesn't matter in what capacity someone has helped
the industry as previous winners have included producers, academics, journalists
and even the Pig Health Control Association.
